Being a Parent Cooperative Pre-School, the parents are involved in many aspects...
Supplies ~ At the beginning of each semester, the teachers provide a list of supplies needed for that semester to each family. This could be anything from paper towels and window cleaner to glue and googly eyes. The teachers do an inventory before each semester begins to see what the needs are. Parents are asked to provide a few of the items from the list.
Snack ~ Each family is asked to provide a healthy snack for their child's class periodically during the semester. Families will be provided a newsletter each month that will have a list of whose turn it is to bring snack each day during that particular month.
Cleaning ~ Naples Little Bunch families are asked to clean one time each semester. There is a checklist provided that is to be followed. This does take approximately 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 hours. Having families clean saves the expense of hiring a cleaning service. The teachers do a great job keeping the classroom cleaned up, but sanitizing and scrubbing is important in order to provide the children a clean and healthy environment.
Fundraising ~ Because we are a non-profit preschool, we do fundraising each semester. Please see the fundraising page for more information. Parents are a major part of the fundraising. Without their help in this area, fundraising would not be as successful as it is. We typically do two smaller fundraising events during the fall semester, and one large one during the spring semester.
*Naples Little Bunch is aware of the demands of families and understand that participating in all of the above may not be something that everyone can manage. For each section above, there is a buyout option. More information regarding this is provided on the registration form.
